Manually Sort Files Windows 7

This problem is the result of another piece of fabulous Windows engineering which prevents the user from sorting files in the way required, independently of the file names.

Well here's the easy solution using Microsoft's "solution" - once again all donations gratefully received! Note that this solution will rename your files - but thank Microsoft for that.

1. Sort the files as desired in the icon or thumbnail view using the Align to Grid and Auto Arrange option. (Right click anywhere in the folder pane to select these options).

2. Select all files.

3. Rename the first file (right-click rename). This will automatically rename all the remaining files - such as Classical-1, Classical-2  etc.
